Having your very own fashion brand is likely to be every girl’s dream…or at least the girls I know. A year into developing S.Novio  I have to say it is NOT a easy job. It requires so much dedication, every single attention to details, so much forward planning, tons of travels, unlimited expenses and you have to really really really love it to continue.

What is my motivation? Passion and love.

I have always loved everything Spanish. The food, the music, the culture, the people. I went on a healing trip to Barcelona for 10 days and rented this beautiful two bedroom apartment on passeig de Gràcia. I invited a few friends of mine coming from all over the places, New York, London, Beijing and some of my local Spanish friends, we party every night until 3am even though I am the only one have to go to Spanish classes the next morning.

The pack I invited all have their own reason to be a little heart broken by their loved ones, so this healing trip was for everyone. We went to the best restaurants including my all time favourite Botafumeiro, trendy Bocagrande, Ommm hotel, we went out  to Opium dancing by the beach until sunrise, we hosted house party in my apartment and talked all night, we walked along passeig de Gràcia and we queued up for two hours to eat Brunch and Cake…

The healing worked, but it also made me think what could a Novio or Novia (In Spanish Novio means boyfriend and Novia means girlfriend) give that you can’t find alternatives in life? I guess its the ultimate intimacy that can’t be replaced, the hunger of being close to someone’s heart, and of course, passion, the passion for love.

All of my friends went back home and started new love journeys.They say that you can’t forget your ex-novio is only because you new novio is not good enough. I think we can replace novios, even though some are so unique and we will never forget, but no matter who we are with, the passion should live, the love should live, and the journey should always continue.
